Jim is the Payroll Educator at Medlock & Associates.
After 25 years as the Payroll Org’s Director of Education and Training, Jim retired in 2019. During his career at PAYO, he was responsible for developing, updating, presenting, training speakers, and preparing PAYO’s payroll. Jim now concentrates his efforts on ensuring payroll professionals and their organizations comply with various federal, state, and local legislative and regulatory issues and developing analytical solutions.
Jim is a candidate for PAYO’s President-Elect on the 2025 ballot.
Jim was the PAYO’s Payroll Man of the Year in 1991. He was the Colorado Payroll Person of the Year in 1993. Jim was honored with the Northern Colorado Payroll Association’s Meritorious Member Award in 2020 and 2021 and was the recipient of the 2022 Northern Colorado Payroll Association’s Payroll Professional of the Year.
Jim is a member of PAYO’s National Speakers Bureau.
